El Machete Mexican

El Machete sure cuts it up and delivers good food. Today I was in mood for a torta. Served with your choice of protein, lettuce and beans, it's a near perfect torta. The refried beans, I believe, is what makes this plate so good. Service was great as well Such a small establishment in Antioch deserves more clout fr fr. We ordered catering for my son's graduation party. The food was delicious - many of our guests requested info on where we got the food. The service was amazing! Great experience, would highly recommend!!

This is my favorite Mexican food in East Bay! I am picky about my Mexican food orders and they hit it on the dot every time! Their burritos are HUGE and really yummy. My go to order is the carnitas supreme burrito. They are also very proud of their horchata, as it is Salvadorian style. Really really good :). The people who work there are great too!

Had a party of about 50 people. Food was great, everyone was asking where the food came from. Would definitely recommend and repeat

Great super tacos. Obviously pre-made as you can only get chicken or ground beef. Wish the carne in the carne burritos had more flavor. Chicken burritos are decent. Salsas are decent. Friendly service. Be careful on carry out as they use very large containers with very little rice and beans and both times we got it to go and no matter how careful we were the food is a mess when we get home. Will def be back.

I called El Machete when our caterer flaked out at the last minute. I called the store around 7:30pm and a friendly individual answered the call. He gave me an estimate for my catering order for the next afternoon! I went in to pay around 8pm and they opened the door after they closed so I can complete the order. Next day, my order was ready when expected and everyone loved the food! I highly recommend this place for dine in or take out! Would order again!

I ordered via Uber Eats & mdelivery was hot and delicious. Supreme grilled Chicken burrito - so flavorful. Chicken Enchiladas - they got my order wrong because I ordered cheese not chicken but whatever enchiladas sauce they're using makes up for the mishap.

First time visiting this location. I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by Jose. The location is new, so I thought I'd try them out. I ordered street tacos, two carnitas, two chicken and and horchata. The meat was tender, and the tortillas had a good flavor. Not to mention, the horchata and salsa were delicious. I loved that their menu was not so big that it made it easier to make my selection. The location is very clean, a lot of parking and friendly staff.

So I came back; it's been a year and the other reviews convinced me to give it another try. This time I ordered a super grilled chicken (or supreme, is what is listed on the menu) no pico, cilantro and onion instead. The burritos are still huge, and the chicken had a great flavor (hallelujah!). However, I wish the ratio of meat to everything else was balanced. I had way too much rice and beans and not enough chicken or cilantro and onion. Also ordered an horchata (homemade not from the machine), which was really good. Their chips and salsa are really good too. Tried the homemade flan - I've had better (Cocina Medina has the best one in the area). Going to try them again and hopefully I'll get more meat. If so, this will be my new go-to in Antioch.
